The Story Behind Hypha-

Hypha- was started because I saw a real need—one that kept showing up in every home I worked on.

Small Problems Became Big Problems

Minor issues often turn into major repairs simply because life is busy. It’s easy to overlook the small things that slowly add up until they can’t be ignored anymore.

It's Hard to Find Someone For the "Little Things"

On nearly every remodeling job, I’d hear the same thing: “While you’re here, could you also take a look at…?” Everyone had a list of small fixes—a leaking faucet, a sticking door, a loose railing—but they didn’t know who to call or who they could trust for the small stuff.

The idea for Hypha clicked when I realized that even with all the tools and knowledge to maintain my own home, I was struggling to find the time. I knew I wasn't alone. I started Hypha to help people take better care of their homes by catching maintenance issues early, handling the "someday" list, and building a relationship that goes beyond a single service call.

Meet Nate

I’ve always been most at home when I’m working with my hands—building, fixing, and creating. My path here wasn't a straight line, but every stop along the way taught me something vital about the work I do today.

With a Studio Art degree and a background as a tattoo artist, I learned that the smallest details matter most. Later, as a middle school art teacher, I learned how to listen, explain things clearly, and help people feel informed rather than overwhelmed. And for the past eight years I've brought that same patience and precision to residential remodeling and the home service industry.

A Different Kind of Home Service
I know how personal it is to invite someone into your home, and I don’t take that trust lightly. My approach is simple:

  • Honesty over sales: I’m not here to push you into a project that doesn’t feel right. My goal is to help you make the best decisions for your space.

  • Respect for your home: I value consistency, a clean workspace, and doing things the right way the first time.

  • Clear communication: I’m comfortable walking you through options and keeping you in the loop from start to finish.

Life Outside the Work
When I’m not on a job site, my time is centered around my family and supporting my two daughters at their various activities. In the quiet moments in between, you’ll usually find me tinkering in my shop, happily building or fixing something.
